While Josh is away playing cricket Pip is working flat out. David and Ruth have trouble persuading her even to take a break. Ruth's disappointed when Pip turns down the offer of a meal at Brookfield - she already has plans at Lower Loxley. Ruth suggests that they are owed an easier time with Ben, but Pip points out that's not in the parenting job description. Ruth thinks it definitely should be.
