Lynda fears for her reputation, and Rex needs another pair of hands.

Kenton has a nifty idea to use miniature eggs in his hair as Mother Goose. Lynda needs to collar Kate about her costumes before working on Tom and Kirsty's proposal scene, but Kate is nowhere to be seen.

Kirsty seems to struggle with her lines as she acts opposite Tom and Lynda takes her aside for a quiet word. She suggests that Kirsty tries channelling the good memories she has of her and Tom. Lynda despairs at the state of her beloved production, fearful for opening night and the poison pen of reviewer Tristram Hawkshaw. Kenton and the cast try to lift her spirits.

Rex needs Toby's help delivering the boxed-up geese, but Toby says he's too busy. Desperate Rex tries again and after Toby winds him up by suggesting an equal split of the profit, he eventually secures Toby's help on a 70-30 split.

Rex and Toby come across Kate, who's hiding from Lynda. Rex agrees to drive her home, but not to have a drink with her. Lynda appears, spots Kate and serves her an ultimatum: if Kate doesn't produce the costumes in time for dress rehearsal, Lynda's leaving the show entirely in her hands.
