Great British Menu is back and the nation's top chefs are competing for the ultimate prize, the chance to cook at a banquet held at the Palace of Westminster, in celebration of everyday great Britons honoured by the Queen. In the year of the Queen's 90th birthday, the chefs have been challenged to showcase contemporary cuisine and demonstrate the transformation in British food during her historic reign. The 24 chefs competing have travelled the country meeting everyday great Britons who have been recognised for their tireless and selfless work for charities, for their local communities or their country.

Today is the head to head. The two highest scoring chefs from Wales are cooking for judges Oliver Peyton, Prue Leith and Matthew Fort, who are joined by guest judge, blogger and food writer Rosie Birkett.

Before cooking starts, one chef reveals he is making a dramatic change to his menu. Swapping around two courses, it is a huge gamble. His competitor is planning not to repeat the mistakes he made during the week. It is a closely fought contest and only the judges can decide which chef will be crowned champion of Wales.
