Breast Cancer Care

Breast cancer changes everything. Breast Cancer Care understands the emotions, challenges and decisions people with breast cancer face every day. They know that everyone’s experience is different. That’s why they are there to offer support and information, and campaign for better care.

Whether someone wants to speak to a nurse, read reliable information or connect with someone who’s faced the same experiences, Breast Cancer Care will help them live life with breast cancer and beyond.

The need for help doesn’t end when treatment finishes

The need for help doesn’t end when treatment finishes
Finishing treatment for breast cancer doesn’t always feel like the celebration you expected. At a time that everyone tells you “you should be fineâ€, so many women feel totally alone.

As one Breast Cancer Care service user shares: “I felt as though I had been asked to climb a mountain and I had been cheered on all the way – but now I had finally got to the top everyone had gone, and the wonderful view I had been promised just wasn’t there.â€

Moving forward after breast cancer

Moving forward after breast cancer

Breast Cancer Care’s services are there to support women as they move forward from breast cancer and adjust to life after treatment.

Cynthia attended a Breast Cancer Care ‘Moving Forward’ course: “Whilst everyone's journey is unique, knowing that others have been through a similar journey gave me the strength and inspiration needed to keep focus and to keep everything in perspective. I realised that I was not alone and felt comfortable sharing my experience with others who understood my fears, concerns, high and low days. This course made me realise how precious and valuable my life is.  I have been given a second chance to grab happiness with both hands.â€Â

A lifeline of support

A lifeline of support

For the last 20 years Breast Cancer Care’s helpline has provided the support that people with breast cancer so desperately need. Its dedicated breast cancer nurses and trained staff can answer questions about signs and symptoms, the different types of breast cancer, and treatments available. Last year we received over 3.3 million requests for information and support from people affected by breast cancer.
