Jez Nelson surveys the year in jazz with a look back at some of the best new recordings of the past twelve months. Joining him in the studio are guest critics John Fordham and Helen Mayhew who share their own highlights and discoveries from 2015, including RnB-infused beats from pianist Robert Glasper; a blustery, richly-orchestrated track from the latest album by composer, bandleader and former Gil Evans protégée Maria Schneider; and an inventive take on the music of Earth, Wind & Fire by young British bassist Misha Mullov-Abbado.

Presenter: Jez Nelson
Producer: Chris Elcombe.
