Kathy makes a worrying discovery. Kim demands the truth from Vincent. Dot steps on Elaine's toes when it comes to planning the community centre's Christmas show.

Bobby watches from the stairs as Jane slowly starts to move. Kathy comes looking for her and Bobby tells her in a panic that Jane is hurt. Kathy asks what happened and Jane says she was rushing and fell. Kathy worries but Jane says she is fine and will be downstairs in a bit. Bobby knows he pushed her and asks if Jane will tell Ian. She says there is nothing to tell. In the Vic Jane apologises to Ian for missing the Christmas tree lights being switched on. Jane introduces Kathy to Linda and Elaine and Sharon gives her a frosty reception. Kathy reminisces about the time they had a Victorian theme on the market in an attempt to win Sharon over and suggests they try it this year. Ben finds Sharon in the Vic and says he just saw Phil with a bag of booze. She snaps at Kathy when she comments on the situation. Kathy heads to the toilet where Denise introduces herself. Jane and Kathy decide to head somewhere quieter. They sit talking in the Albert. Bobby hears them return home and gives Kathy a fright. He asks if Jane told her that he pushed her...

In the Vic, Vincent looks anxious when Donna asks if Kim has stayed at home to hunt for her presents. Kim calls Denise in a panic but Patrick picks up. She covers and hangs up the phone. She looks at the package, worried. There is a knock at the door; Patrick has come to check she is ok. Vincent returns and lets Patrick know that Claudette is at the Vic. Patrick leaves and Vincent spots the brown paper on the floor. Kim demands he tells her the truth about the drugs. Vincent admits that it’s to take down the Mitchells. He tells her that Eric Mitchell killed his dad. Claudette worked at the Roxy where Eric and Peggy used to drink. One Christmas Eve he overheard Eric and his father arguing and was sent to bed. When he woke up the house was empty except for the high top trainers he had asked for sitting under the tree.

Apparently his body ended up in concrete on a construction site. Kim questions him about Ronnie and he admits it’s a way to get close to Phil. Kim looks at the urn, confused. She questions Vincent further and Claudette enters leading Kim to ask if the story is true. Claudette asks why she would lie about something like this and Kim leaves. Claudette tells Vincent to stay and focus on Phil while she follows her. Kim goes to Denise and they hear Claudette in the living room having a drink with Patrick. Claudette tells them that Vincent and Kim had a row over Christmas presents. Kim knows she is being silenced. She walks with her through the Square and Claudette tells Kim to let Vincent get on with things. On her return Kim tells him to get everything over and done with quickly.

In the Vic, Fatboy takes a selfie with Dot and Ian. Ian comments on the venison in Babe’s stew being expensive and she tells him it’s not when it’s road kill. Mick laughs it off and says she’s joking. He tells her to stop serving it but she’s sold it all. Kathy approaches Dot who is having a look at the show flyers Elaine has been handing out. Kathy tells Dot she’d prefer a nativity to a pantomime. Dot suggests to Elaine that perhaps the Square would prefer a nativity. They agree to put it to a vote in the pub. Dot’s nativity wins with an overwhelming majority of the vote. Elaine is hurt and tells Linda she will busy herself with the wedding plans again. Mick finds Elaine sitting on the stairs. He tells her not to be down hearted and to get the show back.

Sharon leaves Phil to look after Dennis while she goes to the Vic. She limits the beers left for him before leaving. He heads out to buy more and promises Dennis that he can look after Marilyn, the school tarantula, over the Christmas holidays if he promises not to tell Sharon. She returns and he tells her that he only drank what she left him. She checks the cupboard and is relieved to see the cans she left.
