It's film review day with a review of Hector, plus hear from Scottish actor Peter Mullan

It's film review day and actor, writer and director Peter Mullan discusses new film Hector, plus critics Ian Hoey and Paul Gallagher review the film along with the new releases.

It's movie review day on The Janice Forsyth Show - legendary Scottish Actor, writer and Director, Peter Mullan will be on hand to discuss his new film, the hotly anticipated Hector - a captivating study of a homeless man with a tragic past.

Regular Critics, Ian Hoey & Paul Gallagher will share their thoughts on it and on this week's other big cinema releases: including Paul Weitz's bittersweet indie comedy Grandma, starring the great Lily Tomlin as a testy septuagenarian lesbian trying to rustle up $600 for her teenage granddaughter's abortion(!) They will also discuss 'Peggy Guggenheim: Art Addict' - a portrait of a patron of the arts extraordinaire who transformed a modest fortune and impeccable taste into one of the premiere collections of twentieth century art.

Later in the show, writer Jennifer Morag Henderson discusses her new book, ' Josephine Tey - A Life' a biography of one of the great (Scottish) mystery writers of the twentieth century; at one point, she had plays on simultaneously in the West End in London and on Broadway, and even wrote for Hollywood - all from her home in the north of Scotland!

All that and Ol Blue Eyes is back! -the countdown to 'The Voice' Frank Sinatra's centenary birthday has begun! The icon would have been celebrating his 100th birthday this Saturday 12 December and in celebration we discuss the life and the legacy of the great song stylist with biographer Spencer Leigh and vocalist Todd Gordon - one of the world's finest interpreters of the Sinatra canon!
