Each week, songs are played connected to members of 'The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame'. Continuing our alphabetical look at the list, we hear 'Damn Right, I've Got The Blues' by Buddy Guy and 'Rock Around The Clock' by Bill Haley (and His Comets, who were inducted separately). In 'A Matter Of Life And Death', we celebrate the birthday on this date in 1937 of Tom Paxton by playing his most famous song 'The Last Thing On My Mind'. Paul pays tribute to Billy Joe Royal, who has recently died, by playing his American hit 'Down In The Boondocks'. 'It's Not The Same Old Song' highlights 'Fantasy' by Earth, Wind & Fire and a US number one with the same title by Mariah Carey.

In the feature called 'Beyond The Sea', Paul plays a song from a UK artist's biggest-selling album in America. Tonight, we hear tracks from LPs by The Fixx and Leona Lewis. 'The Other Number Ones' are records that reached the top of the American chart in 'Cash Box' magazine, but not in the Hot 100 of the other US chart publication 'Billboard'. This week's examples are by the Spinners and Tears For Fears.

Our R&B number ones are from 1963 and now by Garnett Mimms & The Enchanters and The Weeknd. We hear Country number ones from 1998 and this week by the Dixie Chicks and Thomas Rhett. Our featured past and present Rock number ones are by Chumbawamba and Elle King. The number one album is 'Revival' by Selena Gomez and the best-selling digital song of the week is 'The Hills' by The Weeknd.
