Vincent continues to be caught between Ronnie and Kim. Donna and Fatboy find themselves the gossip of the square. Martin receives some life-changing news.

Over the phone, Les asks Claudette to meet him today; being with her is all he can think about. Later, Les tells Pam that he has an urgent coffin handle call, but will be home in time for lunch. When an upset Donna arrives at Claudette’s, she forces her way into the living room and is gobsmacked when she finds Les wearing nothing but his underwear...

Shabnam edges towards Jade’s foster house and watches on as a scruffily-dressed Jade exits. Shabnam clocks Jade itching her hair and suggests that they go to the chemist for some shampoo – Jade agrees. Shabnam allows herself a small smile when Jade states that she knows who Shabnam is. Having left the chemist, Jade asks whether she has nits – to which Shabnam admits she has. In the park toilets, Shabnam shampoos and combs through Jade’s hair and the pair share a laugh when they try to stamp on any head lice they can see. Later, Stacey stops dead in her tracks when she clocks Shabnam and Jade in the park together.

A hung-over Donna is disappointed when she wakes up to find herself alone in bed, but is pleasantly surprised when Fatboy appears with breakfast for her. Later, on the market, an awkward Fatboy tells Donna that he’ll call her; Donna acts nonchalant. Donna dismisses Pam’s excitement and suggests that she and Fatboy were nothing more than a one night stand. In the Car Lot office, Fatboy expresses his concerns to Tamwar – he can’t work out why he’s not feeling it with Donna; Tamwar suggests it’s because the pair are mates. When Nancy questions Donna over her and Fatboy’s status, Donna gets defensive and brands Nancy a ‘perfect blonde’. Nancy opens up and describes how she had her first seizure on her first date and was dumped – Donna looks on guiltily.

Later, in the café, Donna finds Nancy and apologises for over-reacting earlier. The pair share a laugh over people’s perceptions of their disabilities; it’s a warm moment. Donna fails to hide her excitement when Fatboy calls her. As Donna gets ready for her drink in the Vic with Fatboy, an excited Pam exaggerates the situation and reminds Donna that she’s allowed to let herself be excited – Donna can’t suppress her smile. Pam lets Fatboy in; he’s confused by Pam’s excitable behaviour. Fatboy hears Donna fall in the bedroom and comes to her rescue – it’s awkward and he’s unsure how to help. As Fatboy helps Donna up, Donna goes to kiss Fatboy, who, in surprise, drops Donna. Fatboy attempts to apologise and claims that he sees Donna as a friend – an upset Donna orders Fatboy to leave. A devastated Donna arrives at Claudette’s front door and despairs over how she’s sick of being on her own. Claudette attempts to reassure Donna, but it falls on deaf ears.

Stacey snaps at Martin when he won’t let up mentioning wanting an allotment – he’s put his name down for one and is adamant he won’t get it for years. Masood hands Martin a letter – as Martin reads it his face darkens and he leaves. Kush begs Masood to guess what was inside the envelope; the trio quickly realise that it was Martin’s divorce papers. Later, Stacey and Kush lead Martin through Walford Park – Martin demands he be told where they’re taking him, but the pair keep quiet. As they arrive at the allotments, Stacey and Kush present to Martin his new allotment – they’ve cut a deal with Patrick; Martin’s over the moon.

In the Beales’, Kathy ignores a phone call from Gavin. As the phone rings again, there’s a knock at the back door. Kathy’s relief is palpable when it’s Ben she answers the door to, especially when he states that he’s sussed out how to get Gavin’s money. Ben’s determined that there’s enough valuable stuff in the Arches to get hold of vast amounts of money, but Kathy’s unsure whether they have the time to be selling goods. When Kathy mentions contacting the police, Ben snaps that they need to start thinking like Mitchells.

Kim’s unimpressed when Ronnie tries to jump the queue for the baby clinic. Out of ear shot of Kim, Vincent flirts with Ronnie. Later, Vincent is given food for thought when Kim mentions that Ronnie claims she can only work locally and at night. When Kim and Pearl are called in to be seen, Vincent makes a phone call to Sharon. Later, Ronnie finds Sharon outside the café, who’s advertising for bar staff. As Sharon disappears to take a call, she accidently leaves the job advert on the table – Ronnie eyes it with interest. Later, Ronnie arrives at the Albert and claims that she’d like to apply for the job.
