Paul Gambaccini presents tracks from this week's US charts and hits from the last six decades.

Each week, songs are played connected to members of 'The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame'. We hear 'Don't Play That Song' by Aretha Franklin in honour of Ahmet Ertegun, the co-founder of Atlantic Records, who was inducted in the non-performer category. We also feature 'My Favourite Things' by John Coltrane - one of the many significant jazz recordings produced for Atlantic by Ahmet's brother Nesuhi, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the 'Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame'. In 'A Matter Of Life And Death', we celebrate the birthday on this date in 1950 of Bonnie Pointer by playing 'Fairytale' by The Pointer Sisters. Paul pays tribute to songwriter Sid Tepper, who has recently died, by selecting one of his many songs recorded by Elvis Presley - 'G.I. Blues'. 'It's Not The Same Old Song' highlights 'Believe' by Cher and a different song with the same title by Elton John.

In the feature called 'Beyond The Sea', Paul plays tracks from the biggest selling albums by UK artists in America. Tonight, we hear tracks from LPs by Gerry and The Pacemakers and Mick Jagger. 'The Other Number Ones' are records that reached the top of the American chart in 'Cash Box' magazine, but not in the 'Billboard' Hot 100. This week's examples are by Billy Vaughn and Gerry Rafferty.

Our R&B number ones are from 1975 and now by Van McCoy and The Weeknd. We hear Country number ones from 1985 and this week by Willie Nelson and Little Big Town. Our featured past and present Rock number ones are by Kongos and Walk The Moon.
