Influential and ground-breaking composer, Steve Reich talks to Classics Unwrapped about his first encounters with classical music, breaking with musical convention after leaving the Juilliard School in New York and the removal company he had with Philip Glass in the 1960s - also his secret in getting '18 musicians' to play without a conductor. St Magnus Festival Director, Alasdair Nicolson talks to Jamie about events this year and chooses his personal highlights and Young Ambassadors from the RSNO chat about their 'Take Over Day' with the orchestra; and to mark the start of the Edinburgh International Film Festival the show will be celebrating the best in music from the silver screen.
