Janice Forsyth discusses Russell Crowe's directorial debut, The Water Diviner, plus Synnot and Alison Rowatt review the film along with new releases The Dark Horse and The Duff.

It's film review day here in The Culture Studio and Janice Forsyth will be hearing from Director/Actor, Russell Crowe discussing his new film, The Water Diviner, a World War I drama about a man traveling through Turkey in search of his missing sons.

Film Critics, Siobhan Synnot and Alison Rowatt will share their thoughts on the film and on The Dark Horse - an emotionally-charged and critically acclaimed, drama based on the life of New Zealand's Genesis Potini - the bi-polar Maori chess champion and tutor to the underprivileged. They will also discuss American teen comedy 'The Duff,' and director Noah Baumbach will share his thoughts on his latest film, the cross-generational comedy of manners, 'While We're Young,' which stars both Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts.

Later in the show, she'll have music from Australian Singer-Songwriter Courtney Barnett and hear from Irish author Lisa McInerney who will be discussing her debut novel 'The Glorious Heresies '.
