Sharleen Spiteri is the lead singer with the band Texas. Discovered as a teenager while working as a
hairdressing junior in Glasgow, she has become one of Scotland's best known pop stars with the band enjoying a string of hits including I Don’t Want A Lover and Halo, and selling more than 38million albums. Sharleen talks to Jenni as Texas celebrate 25 years together and performs their new single Start A Family.

The album Texas 25’ and single ‘Start A Family’ are released on February 16th 2015.

Author Lynne Segal wrote the seminal feminist book ‘Straight Sex: Rethinking the Politics of Pleasure’ in 1994. The book, which was recently republished by Verso as part of their ‘Radical Thinkers’ series, discusses whether heterosexual sex is damaging to women and highlights Segal’s belief that there is not a natural relationship between men and violence. Lynne who is a professor in Psychosocial Studies at Birkbeck, University of London, talks to Jenni Murray about how sex in our culture has changed since she wrote the book, whether women feel guilty about their desires and why she still disagrees with the radical feminist idea that men are the enemy. 
Straight Sex: Rethinking the Politics of Pleasure is published in a set of new editions in Verso's Radical Thinkers series. The books were published on the 30th January 2015.
