Louise White asks if people have the right to refuse to do their job on religious grounds.

TOPIC 1: MIDWIVES
The UK's highest court has told two Catholic midwives they do not have the right to avoid supervising other nurses involved in abortion procedures. The Supreme Court in London ruled that Mary Doogan and Connie Wood should have to support staff who are caring for patients having terminations. The midwives previously won their case at the Court of Session in Edinburgh. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde's appeal said the right to abstain should only extend to treatment ending a pregnancy.

Louise asks: Two Catholic midwives who objected to supervising abortions have lost their case; is it the right decision?

TOPIC 2: COOKING SKILLS
A survey by the Food Standards Agency has found that more than a third of Scots no longer cook every day with families increasingly relying on takeaways and packaged food rather than making meals from scratch. The survey found that 37% don't cook for themselves every day, only 48% of men cook for themselves on a daily basis and and only 1 in 5 men cook for others. The figures also suggest that 30% enter the kitchen to cook fewer than 5 times a week.

Louise asks: How can more people be encouraged to cook at home?
