Andre Rieu, Slava's Snowshow and Little Machine

Janice Forsyth talks to 'the king of the waltz', violinist and composer Andre Rieu, plus poetry band Little Machine play live.

Andre Rieu, violinist and composer, has, together with his Johann Strauss Orchestra, turned waltz music into a huge draw for audiences all around the world. His latest album, released last month, soared as high as number 3 in the official charts. He joins Janice for an interview as he prepares to start his UK tour, culminating in a grand finale pre- Christmas gig at the Hydro in Glasgow.

Slava's Snowstorm- we get a preview of an Olivier award-winning Christmas spectacular.

For some the train station is simply a mundane part of the daily routine, but for others, it's a place of possibility, where we undertake journeys with companions unknown. It was with this environment in mind that artist Sven Werner was commissioned to create a piece of art for ±«Óãtvcoming 2014. We immerse ourselves in Station Stories, which aims to bring the magic of the Age of Steam to the daily commute, through stories, music and theatre.

TV critics Andrea Mullaney and Paul Whitelaw join Janice to talk essential Christmas viewing, Christmas adverts for stores that are more like short feature films than adverts, and the best box sets to stockpile for the holidays or give as gifts.

And poetry band Little Machine play live for us as they warm up for a joint gig with none other than Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy.
