After being reminded of the life they could have shared together, Jack and Ronnie question their relationship. Michael continues to use Alice in his battle against Janine.

Ronnie is feeling hurt at being ignored by Phil, so Jack decides to prove how much he loves her by buying an engagement ring. Later, Lola convinces Jack and Ronnie to look after Lexi while she visits Dexter but as the three of them enjoy the afternoon together it becomes all too clear that this could have been the life they had together. Realising they will never get over their past together, the two have an emotional discussion and Ronnie makes a heart breaking decision which makes Jack realise he needs to leave Walford.

Alice grovels for her job back with Janine, but leaves disappointed when Janine turns her down. Continuing with his plan, Michael tries to convince Whitney that Janine is struggling, so Whitney visits Janine and offers to look after Scarlett, and with no other option Janine accepts. Whitney suggests Janine asks Michael to help, but an annoyed Janine quickly realises Michael has spoken to Whitney and leaves.

Kim gets annoyed when Fatboy tells her she’s too old to enter Miss Teen Vic. Meanwhile, Cindy offers Patrick fifty percent of the winnings if he fixes the competition so she wins. Later, Alice convinces Poppy to go to The Vic in a bid to reunite her and Fatboy. Fatboy is pleased to see Poppy but when he realises only one person has entered he worries the night and his chance to win back Poppy will fail. To save the day Fatboy gives an inspirational speech that real beauty is what’s on the inside, leaving Poppy impressed, Kim appeased and encourages more locals to take part. As Miss Teen Vic gets underway Danny winds up Lucy by checking her out which causes her to be knocked out at the first round, though little does Danny know that Lucy is enjoying his flirting. Cindy and Poppy make it to the final and, after Fatboy confesses his love for Poppy, the couple are reunited and the winner of the Miss Teen Vic is announced.

David continues to rile the residents of Walford and is pleased when he bumps into Ian and manages to wind him up about his relationship with Denise, clearly playing on Ian’s insecurities. Later, David sees Michael and reminds him the last time they saw one another Michael had lured him into Derek’s trap, leaving Michael wary. Elsewhere, Whitney feels like David is treading on her toes when he tries to take charge of the family, however when the house is in chaos David steps in to help but Whitney makes it clear it will take a lot more than that for her to accept him.
