Main content

Jean, Shirley and Bianca's antics take a terrible turn for the worse and Bianca is terrified she will go back to prison. Ian tries to reconcile with Denise over a bottle of wine.

Michael bets Jack Janine will be back by midnight. He threatens Billy to tell him what’s going on. Billy manages to record Michael saying he wants Janine back because she’s the mother of his child. Billy goes to Janine with the recording and is forgiven. Michael’s smug when she returns.

Jean, Bianca, Whitney and Shirley vent about Ian’s behaviour – he’s fired Whitney for insolence, argued with Denise and Jean about the kiss being part of his and Denise’s drive towards ‘people skills’, and told Jean he’d rather become a monk than be with her. Carl warns Ian he needs to be making money. Shirley, Bianca and Jean creep into the restaurant after Ian closes, in search of Jean’s handbag. Jean’s uncomfortable when they open wine, light candles and gossip about Ian’s past and how he once paid for Janine. Jean’s worried that today’s horoscope warns that if she plays with fire, she’ll get burnt. Shirley wants to open the brandy Ian set aside for when he earns his first million turnover: Ian knew what Ben had done to Hev and she claims Ian’s breakdown was a cover for his guilt. She insists it’s not fair he’s now back on his feet and she’s stuck in a B&B. A napkin gets caught in a candle, Shirley drops the brandy and it starts a blazing fire. Jean’s horrified. Shirley and Bianca refuse to take blame. The sprinklers go off and the restaurant’s flooded.

Ava tells Sam it’s not working for her. But unable to resist, she goes to him at the B&B.

Denise tells Ian they need to go on a break. He breaks down on her, tells her how much she’s meant to him. They reconcile.

Carl winds up Max, hinting he’s in the way of Kirsty.
