Susan Morgan: The Royal Navy's longest serving wren

The longest Serving Woman in the history of The Royal Navy has retired from active service after a 34 year career.Ěý Warrant Officer First Class Susan Morgan joined the Wrens in 1978 aged 17, serving on five overseas postings and three ships as a Royal Navy police officer. She joinsĚýJenni to talk about dropping anchor for a final time.

It wasn’t long ago that hats were part of every self-respecting man’s daily attire. But what leads a man to wear a hat today? Hat connoisseur, Robert Elms and woolly hat wearing, Justin Moorhouse, join me to discuss what a hat says about a man.

Premature babies

Tomorrow is the second World Prematurity Day. It’s supported by global organisations including The World Health Organisation and Save the Children and will highlight the fact that premature birth is the biggest killer of new-born babies worldwideĚý - causing the deaths of more than one million babies each year. ĚýThe WHO say that 75% of these lives could be saved with some simple but effective, low-cost measures. To discuss the issues Jenni is joined by Dr Joy Lawn, Neonatologist and Director of Global Evidence & Policy for Save the Children.
