As part of Radio 2's Elton John weekend, Elaine Paige looks back at Elton's theatrical writing career, playing music from shows including Billy Elliot and The Lion King. She'll also pay tribute to American composer and conductor, Marvin Hamlisch, who wrote the music for films including The Sting and The Way We Were. Marvin was one of only eleven EGOTs - those who have been awarded an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony. He was also one of only two people to have won those four prizes and a Pulitzer Prize.
