Lucy’s day off is scuppered by a problem with the gas in the cafe. With Ben drafted in to cover the fruit and veg stall and Fat Boy, Anthony and Bobby selling food outside, Lucy successfully manages to raise enough cash to pay a Gas Engineer. Lucy asks Fat Boy to paint a new sign for the café, rechristening it ‘Cindy’s’ – Ian Beale no longer exists. Lauren and Whitney are furious that Lucy’s missed their volunteering session feeding the homeless. Dropping off some food to a homeless shelter, Lauren’s shocked to see Ian.

Tanya’s determined to clear the air with Cora, but she’s not interested. Lauren thinks Cora will talk in her own time. Max tries to reason with Cora, reminding her he knows what it’s like to lose a child. Later, Cora and Tanya buy each other strawberries. Tanya tells Cora if she ever wants to talk she’ll listen, no questions. She gives Cora a bracelet similar to the one she lost. Emotional, Cora thanks Tanya.
