06:30 We are very excited to be broadcasting live from (near) the Olympic Park. After a few mic and echo issues we're up and running and loving the atmosphere.

07:00 We check out how non-soundproof the studio is. It appears that whenever Dave opens the doors to the balcony, someone makes a trombone sound outside. This is very funny but also a bit weird as even on the third time, it still happens. We start thinking it might be the door. It's not though.

07:40 Dave goes out to mingle in the crowds and finds himself having a loud haler conversation with one of the announcer guys there (who also has a loud haler). The announcer, Basit, confirms he has not yet seen Fanny Babou but he has seen Boris Johnson 4 times, which is great news but in no way associated with Fanny

08:15 Dave is back in the studio but we can still see Basit on his highchair, so Dave attempts to talk to Basit again from our balcony shouting through the loud haler. Basit shouts back. Dave is happy about this but we can't really hear it so we make him stop.

08:30 Then we have Gold, Silver AND Bronze medal winners Greg Rutherford and Louis Smith in for a chat. They are great and we touch their medals.

08:50 Aled is here and it's his birthday today so we all sing him Happy Birthday

09:10 For Aled's birthday we have a special surprise for him in the form of the real Aled Jones who has recorded a special song for him. Aled finds it a bit strange but we 'think' he's happy. Also, Freya has made Aled a cake with what is supposed to be the real Aled Jones on the front. Again, we 'think' Aled is happy with it although he's not sure which way round the cake should be.

09:45 Roy sings Happy Birthday to Aled and teaches him some valuable Japanese phrases ahead of his trip.

10:00 We say hello to Fearne and congratulate her on her brilliant news
