Desmond Carrington hosts a second series of Icons of the 50s, celebrating some of his favourite artists from that decade.

Each programme includes words and music from a star personality of the 50s, first heard on Radio Luxembourg and the ±«Óătv Light Programme. This series, Desmond shares the presentation with the veteran singer and broadcaster Sir Jimmy Young, who also contributes one of his own records to each programme.
