In the feature Headline News [Number One Albums On Noteworthy Days] we hear You Give Good Love from the debut LP by Whitney Houston. It was number one on 8 April 1986 - the day on which Clint Eastwood was elected the Mayor of Carmel, California. We also hear Hungry Heart by Bruce Springsteen from The River. The number one album in the US on 4 November 1980 - the day on which Ronald Reagan was elected President of the USA.

In regular feature The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, songs are featured from albums by Diana Ross and the Doobie Brothers. It's Not The Same Old Song highlights It's Only Love by The Beatles and a different song with the same title by Elvis Presley.

In A Matter Of Life And Death Paul celebrates the birth on this date in 1979 of Brandy. We also hear The Wallflower (a.k.a. Roll With Me Henry) - played as a tribute to the recently deceased Etta James.
