Manish Bhasin presents action from the Carling Cup, as Crystal Palace and Cardiff meet in the first semi-final. The two Championship sides both beat Premier League opposition in the quarter-finals to reach this stage; Palace went to Old Trafford and produced a wonderful performance to beat Manchester United 2-1 after extra time, while Cardiff were just too good for Blackburn Rovers, running out 2-0 winners. Palace have the home advantage for the first leg, so they will be looking for a lead to take to Wales a fortnight later.
