Main content

A new conflict begins in Walford, with David and Derek squaring up to each other. When things do not go as planned with the insurance company, Patrick goes to extreme lengths.

Syed engineers for Christian to come to the Argee Bhajee where he announces in front of Amira that he wants a divorce. With Amira still in denial over their marriage Syed is forced to ring Qadim and invite him to the Masoods. Amira is finally forced to accept that her marriage is over before fleeing to the Vic and throwing a drink over Christian. Qadim attempts to take her home but Masood defends Amira, vowing that she will always have a place in his family. Christian questions Syed on whether he’s serious about getting divorced but as they join hands Amira announces to them both that she’s not going anywhere.

David winds up Carol by comparing her to Roxy, Carol retaliating by suggesting that Ricky was more of a son to Pat then David ever was. They reconcile when David visits Frank’s plaque, with David admitting that nothing happened with Roxy. Carol comes between David and Derek when they nearly come to blows after Derek goads David over Pat’s death. Back at home David compares the love affair between himself and Carol to that of Frank and Pat. Outside, Derek threatens David, telling him that once Pat’s in the ground, he’s coming after him. Kim is downbeat when the insurance company fail to pay out for the B&B fire even after Patrick confesses to the police about the stolen fireworks. Patrick surprises Denise and Kim by transferring the Minute Mart into their names.

Kim gives Heather a make over after she asks Andrew to stay over for the first time but is left crushed when he rebuffs her offer to work a shift for Phil.

Derek tempts Alfie into selling some dodgy booze in the Vic while Marsden makes her presence known on the Square.
