Paul Gambaccini presents this week's US hits and classics from the last six decades. The featured chart-toppers include Andy Williams, Roberta Flack and Tony Bennett.

In the feature Baby What A Big Surprise [they really were Number One albums] we hear Can't Get Used To Losing You by Andy Williams from The Days Of Wine And Roses, a chart-topper in 1963 - six years after his first number one single. We also hear the 1976 title track of Breezin by George Benson, the first jazz number one album in thirteen years.

In the regular feature The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, songs are featured from LPs by the Small Faces and George Strait. It's Not The Same Old Song highlights Feel Like Makin' Love by Roberta Flack and a different song with the same title by Bad Company.

In A Matter Of Life And Death Paul celebrates the birth on this date in 1940 of Fred Cash of the Impressions and pays tribute to the recently deceased gospel star Jessy Dixon. Walk Don't Run by the Ventures and Walk On By by Dionne Warwick are this week's featured songs from the Grammy Hall Of Fame Singles list.

Our R&B Number Ones are from 1965 - I Want To (Do Everything For You) by Joe Tex - and this week - So In Love by Jill Scott & Anthony Hamilton. We hear Country Number Ones from 2009 and now by Carrie Underwood and Lady Antebellum. This week's past and present Rock Number Ones are by Tears For Fears and Foo Fighters.

Tony Bennett's Duets II enters at Number One in the US album chart. At the age of 85, he has become the oldest number one album artist. On the singles side, Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera is still Number One.
