Douglas Fraser examines the airline industry and asks if business could be better served by airlinks to London.

This week in Business Scotland, Douglas Fraser, looks at the future of the aviation industry.
As an island at the edge of Europe, air connections are an important part of business links to the world. The programme looks at what has been done and what could be done to improve those connections.
With BMI reviewing its route from Glasgow to Heathrow, that has sparked a campaign by some business leaders.
And of course, aviation is a business in itself, and the programme looks back at the collapse of Scotland's biggest airline, and what has been done to fill the Globespan gap.

Contributing are Stuart Patrick of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, Graham Birse of Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce and Fiona Henderson of Halcrow. Douglas also speaks to Kevin Brown of Edinburgh Airport and Ken McNab who runs The Travel Company in Edinburgh.
