Ryan lies in hospital, unconscious. The doctor tells Janine high levels of sedative were in Ryan’s blood. Janine tells Whitney, Ryan has pneumonia. Stacey’s upset, she can’t find out how Ryan is. Pat arrives home. Whitney tells her Ryan has pneumonia. Kat and Stacey arrive at the hospital, but leave when they see Janine. Janine takes hold of Ryan’s oxygen tube to disconnect it, but can’t do it. Pat walks in. Janine confesses that she tried to kill Ryan twice. Ryan wakes up. Janine tells him that she knows about his affair with Stacey, she fed him an overdose and tried to pull his oxygen tube out. Ryan is stunned. Janine tells Ryan if he ever loved her, he won’t tell the police. What’s Ryan going to do?

Ian wonders if Peter knows about him and Glenda. Peter is upset when he sees Whitney kissing Connor on the market. Ian thinks Peter’s upset about the affair and inadvertently reveals it. Peter tries to tell Jane, but she rushes out, she’s late for work. Ian asks Peter, does he want to spoil their Christmas? Peter is torn.

Phil realises Whitney’s selling his jewellery when he spots Shirley wearing a bracelet from the stash he gave Connor. Phil buys everything from Whitney, and threatens Connor, sell the jewellery by the end of the week. Connor gives Whitney the jewellery to hide.

Bianca is mortified, they can’t afford a ‘proper’ Christmas this year. The kids open their Christmas present early, and aren’t impressed. Bianca is initially angry but when they apologise, she’s determined, they’ll have a proper Christmas somehow.

The Truemans notice that the house next door is up for sale. They arrive home to find Jordan with Gloria, Lucas’ sister. They’ve been talking about Lucas. Jordan wants to spend Christmas with Gloria. Denise refuses.
