Budapest plays host to the final-leg of the tour, with the men's world champion to be decided. British number one Alastair Brownlee won the title in 2009, and will be hoping for a strong showing in the season-finale to reaffirm his genuine hopes for Olympic gold in 2012. His younger brother, Jonathan, won the European Junior Championship in 2009, and is eager to make the transition onto the senior circuit.
Fellow Brit Stuart Hayes won in Kitzbuhel in August and sits ninth in the overall standings. Germany's Jan Frodeno is the current leader, with Spain's Javier Gomez heading the chasing pack, having won two of the last three races.
