As the family pulls together for Denise's funeral, Lucas has a surprise. Meanwhile it is D Day for Darren, but Jodie runs scared, and Peggy battles with her family.

It’s the day of Denise’s funeral. Denise’s sister, Daphne, arrives. Tense ahead of the funeral, Lucas prays in silent turmoil. Meanwhile Libby finds herself questioning who Denise was. Chelsea encourages her to remember the good person that was their mother. The community gathers for the funeral. Lucas struggles as he delivers his sermon; faltering when he talks of confession being salvation. Patrick delivers a moving eulogy and Libby’s touched. Liz arrives at the wake and locks horns with Denise’s sisters much to Libby’s distress. As Kim prepares to take Libby and Chelsea home with her, Patrick steps in; the girls are staying with him. They hug him in relief. Meanwhile, Lucas enters a murky basement. “I’ve brought you some food from the wake, after your funeral.” Emerging from the shadows is a dishevelled and terrified-looking Denise.

Peggy’s horrified to learn that Roxy now believes Ronnie. Roxy tries to convince Peggy of the truth, but Peggy remains resolute. Unable to stand the tension of living with Peggy, Roxy considers moving out. Ronnie suggests she live with Glenda. Keen to cling onto her family, Peggy tries to organise a family dinner. Aghast to learn that Roxy’s moving out, Peggy’s convinced this is Glenda’s manipulation at work. Roxy asks Peggy to look after the Vic before leaving. As she goes, a triumphant Glenda turns to Peggy: “Looks like I didn’t have to wait that long after all.” With no one having shown up for her family meal, Peggy’s left isolated.

Max advises Darren to implement some romance to woo Jodie. Abi helps Darren to prepare a romantic meal for Jodie. Jodie’s impressed by Darren’s efforts and grows increasingly flirtatious during dinner. Things quickly get passionate between Jodie and Darren, but as he drops his pants, Jodie takes one look, screams and runs.
