Documentary series about the making of hit British movies. Peter Reigert, Denis Lawson and others recall the production of the 1983 comedy drama Local Hero.

Local Hero was the small British film that asked the materialistic, money-obsessed 1980s to take a long hard look at itself and decide what kind of future it wanted.

In the movie, the inhabitants of a fictitious Scottish fishing village are seduced by the big-bucks of an American oil company, but ultimately forced to confront the potential cost of getting rich quick.

And behind the scenes, there was a constant struggle for the soul of the movie between a Hollywood studio and two of British cinema's brightest talents, producer David Puttnam and writer/director Bill Forsyth.

Peter Reigert, Denis Lawson, Peter Capaldi, Alex Norton and Jenny Seagrove recall the making of this classic movie.
