Jeanette Winterson's The Stone Gods, Angelina Jolie stars in A Mighty Heart

A Mighty Heart
Angelina Jolie stars as the wife of Danny Pearl, the Wall Street Journal reporter who was kidnapped and decapitated in Karachi in 2002, while researching into the story of the shoe bomber. The film is an account of the frantic efforts to get him back and is directed in the style of docu-drama by Michael Winterbottom.

The Art of Lee Miller
This exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum celebrates the life and career of the photographer, muse and model Lee Miller. It brings together over 140 works including drawings, film extracts and magazine photojournalism.

The Art of Lee Miller is at The Victoria and Albert Museum in London until January 6.

The Stone Gods by Jeanette Winterson
Winterson’s latest novel starts sometime in the future on a planet like our own called ‘Orbus’. People have used up all of the resources of earth and are hoping to colonise Planet Blue, a perfect new world. Meanwhile the human Billie and the robot Spike are falling in love.
