Sir Paul Nurse

Sir Paul Nurse is a geneticist and cell biologist who works on how cell shape and dimensions are determined. He is President of the Royal Society and Director and CEO of the Francis Crick Institute in London. He has served as Chief Executive of Cancer Research UK and President of Rockefeller University in New York. He shared the 2001 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.

Dr Lucie Green

Lucie is a Leverhulme Research Fellow based at UCL's Mullard Space Science Laboratory, where she spends most of her time studying activity in the atmosphere of our nearest star, the Sun. Her passion for making science accessible to everyone led to her being awarded the Royal Society's Kohn Award for excellence in public engagement with science in 2009.

Dr Yan Wong

Dr Yan is a presenter on 鲍鱼tv One's Bang Goes the Theory, where his job is to "explain complicated stuff in a way that makes it really easy to understand". As an undergraduate at Oxford, he studied under celebrated scientist Richard Dawkins, and later undertook research for Dawkins on the evolutionary relationships between major forms of life. Yan has a PhD in computational and mathematical modelling of self-incompatibility systems in plants.

Mark Henderson

Mark is Science Editor of The Times, and has covered science for the paper since 2000. He also writes the Science Matters column for Eureka, the Times's monthly science magazine, and contributes regularly to the opinion pages. He has won various journalism awards including a prize for excellence in statistical journalism from the Royal Statistical Society and multiple awards from the Medical Journalists' Association.
