From January 2011 (Thursdays, 9-10pm), the three DJs will join the rotational* line-up alongside Jaymo & Andy George, Toddla T and Heidi in the slot that brings together the most innovative, exciting and talented DJs and gives them a one-hour showcase to play the best new dance music.

Skream says: "It's amazing. Who would have thought me and Benga would bless the airwaves. I'm not sure if Radio 1 knows what they've let themselves in for to be honest!"

Chuckie comes to Radio 1 as one of the figureheads of the new Dutch house movement. An international DJ and producer, he has played across the world amassing a huge following with.

So far in his career Chuckie has claimed many accolades including winning two MOBO awards in 2004 and 2005 and recently receiving the TMF Best Dance DJ award, where he beat off competition from the likes of Dutch heavyweights Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren.

Ben Cooper, Deputy Controller, Radio 1, says: "I can't wait to hear the energy and range of music this fantastic line-up will be playing on Radio 1."

The new INDWT line-up is a key part of Radio 1's 2011 plans to take listeners on a journey to discover new music. In the week commencing Monday 24 January, INDWT gets a 9-10pm slot all week. The weeknight party concludes on Friday 28 January with the free concert In New Music We Trust Live, from Sheffield University's Student Union, bringing together the Radio 1 dance family for a massive dance music marathon.

In New DJs We Trust underlines Radio 1's commitment to champion the best new music, offering listeners the most exciting and important dance music, whilst giving new and emerging talent their first opportunity to broadcast on national radio.

As a result of the changes, Alex Metric and Jaguar Skills will no longer be part of the Thursday night show. However, Jaguar Skills will continue to work with the network on future programmes whilst Alex will continue to pursue his various recording commitments.
