2010 European Athletics Championships live on the ±«Óãtv and in HD

±«Óãtv Sport will bring the best of the action from the European Athletics Championships in Barcelona (27 July to 1 August) across TV, radio and online, including the ±«Óãtv HD Channel. Britain's finest athletes will battle it out with top talent from across Europe in this crucial stepping stone to London 2012.

World Champion heptathlete Jessica Ennis and World and Commonwealth Champion triple-jumper Phillips Idowu will be among Britain's medal hopes, along with World Indoor Champion sprinter Dwain Chambers. Plus other medallists from last year's World Championships, such as 1,500m runner Lisa Dobriskey and emerging stars 400m runner Martyn Rooney and 400m hurdler David Greene, are all in with good chances of a place on the podium.

John Inverdale presents the ±«Óãtv's coverage along with Jonathan Edwards. With them will be the expert analysis team of Michael Johnson, Colin Jackson and Denise Lewis, with commentary from Steve Cram, Brendan Foster and Paul Dickenson.

±«Óãtv Sport online will have live video and on-demand clips of the biggest events on the website for UK users, plus live text commentary, reports and photos on every day of action. There will also be interviews, blogs and tweets from the ±«Óãtv's Tom Fordyce, in the midst of the action at the Championships, all available at bbc.co.uk/athletics.

All live coverage will also be available on ±«Óãtv iPlayer.

±«Óãtv Radio 5 Live has extensive coverage of the European Athletics Championships with nightly live coverage on 5 Live Sport and updates throughout the day on 5 Live. Vassos Alexander presents the live coverage from Barcelona with 5 Live's athletics correspondent Mike Costello heading up the commentary team, with expert analysis from British Olympians and European medallists Steve Backley, Darren Campbell, Allison Curbishley and trackside reporter Katharine Merry.

Following on from the European Championships ±«Óãtv Sport will also be bringing all the action from the London Grand Prix at Crystal Palace on 13 and 14 August. The ±«Óãtv has covered this prestigious event for many years, and now continues to broadcast it as one of the IAAF Diamond League events. ±«Óãtv Sport signed a new deal earlier this year to broadcast the whole of the IAAF Diamond League through to 2014, demonstrating a continuing commitment to athletics through to London 2012 and beyond.
