Isle of Man residents old and new are invited to join Tynwald Day celebrations at bbc.co.uk

This year's Tynwald Day celebrations will once again be streamed live on the ±«Óãtv so that both current residents and Isle of Man enthusiasts from all over the world can enjoy a special programme of events live from St Johns in the west of the island.

Tynwald Day, which will be held on 5 July, is the National Day of the Isle of Man when a host of events will follow the formal proceedings of the Tynwald ceremony, which includes the only open air sitting of a parliament in the world.

Ariane Barua, ±«Óãtv Isle of Man Broadcast Journalist, says: "Tynwald Day has always been an important part of the island's culture and we are thrilled to once again be streaming coverage of the day's celebrations all over the world via the ±«Óãtv Isle of Man website."

This year, for the first time ever, users will be able to embed live video streaming into their own websites and blogs, ensuring as many people as possible can enjoy the celebrations from the comfort of their own computers, no matter where in the world they may be.

Live video coverage will be streamed live on bbc.co.uk/tynwaldday from 0900 BST on Monday 5 July.

Users can also visit the website at anytime before the big day and get the code enabling them to embed the live video feed into their websites and blogs.
