Radio 5 Live

Comedian, actor and author Alan Davies will be the guest host on ±«Óãtv Radio 5 Live's banter-based sports quiz show Fighting Talk on Saturday 9 January (11.00am-12noon), whilst newly-appointed Apprentice adviser and former Managing Director of Birmingham City Football Club, Karren Brady, will co-present 606 on Sunday 17 January (6.00-7.30pm).

Resident QI panellist Davies will be in the chair while regular host Colin Murray takes a break to present the Darts World Championships on ±«Óãtv One.

Alan will be judge and jury as a panel of guests battle it out for points on the week's top sporting stories. This week's panellists are comedian and author Mark Watson, sports columnist Des Kelly, broadcaster and journalist Martin Kelner and 5 Live Sport presenter Eleanor Oldroyd.

Alan said: "I'm very much looking forward to stepping in to Colin Murray's tiny pixie boots for Fighting Talk on Saturday."

Previous Fighting Talk guest presenters include Strictly Come Dancing champion Chris Hollins, Dickie Davies, Sir Terry Wogan, Gabby Logan, Clare Balding, Johnny Vaughan and Christian O'Connell.

Also guest presenting on 5 Live is newly-appointed Apprentice adviser and former Managing Director of Birmingham City FC, Karren Brady.

Karren will be joining Spoony to host 606, the UK's biggest football phone-in, on Sunday 17 January (6.00-7.30pm).

Karren and Spoony will be taking calls from around the country on all the weekend's action, including Everton v Manchester City (kick off 5.30pm, Saturday) and Sunday's big games – Aston Villa v West Ham (kick-off 1.30pm) and Bolton v Arsenal (4.00pm) – all of which are live on 5 Live.

Karren says: "As a 5 Live listener and 606 fan I am looking forward to debating football's hot issues with other listeners and really pleased to be co-hosting the UK's biggest football phone in."
