Radio Lancashire announces new Breakfast presenter

Graham Liver

Graham Liver will be the new voice of ±«Óãtv Radio Lancashire's Breakfast Show.

Graham, currently the mid-morning presenter at ±«Óãtv Radio Leeds, will take over from Tony Livesey from January 2010.

It follows Tony's announcement last month that he is to leave the show for ±«Óãtv Radio 5 Live where he will present the late night programme (Monday-Thursday, 10.30pm-1.00am), digesting and debating the issues of the day.

It's a return home for Graham, who worked at Radio Lancashire four years ago.

Born and brought up in Lancaster, he grew up listening to the station and aspired to one day being a radio presenter.

He first joined ±«Óãtv Radio Cumbria aged 18 but, four years later, got his dream job at Lancashire, joining the sports team as a commentator for Blackburn Rovers, the team he supports.

The station liked his presenting style and he went on to work on the lunchtime, afternoon and drivetime shows as well as continuing with sport.

He moved to Radio Leeds four years ago as the mid-morning presenter.

Graham said: "I'm absolutely thrilled to be coming back to Lancashire. It's the station I grew up listening to and if I was going to do a Breakfast show anywhere then this is where I wanted it to be.

"It's an exciting opportunity and I'm looking forward to becoming the new voice at the start of the day on ±«Óãtv Radio Lancashire."

Graham's first show will be on Monday 4 January from 6.00am.
