Join Pudsey Bear and his Bhangra beats at the ±«Óãtv Children in Need concert, live from Millennium Point in the West Midlands.

This year's Children in Need promises more excitement than ever before as the ±«Óãtv Asian Network, ±«Óãtv Midlands Today and ±«Óãtv WM join forces to host a spectacular free party between 6.00 and 11.00pm on Friday 20 November.

Joanne Malin takes the Children in Need helm for the first time, presenting live from Millenium Point, Birmingham alongside ±«Óãtv Asian Network's Adil Ray and Tommy Sandhu and, of course, Pudsey Bear.

Legendary Bhangra artist Malkit Singh and ascending star Jaz Dhami head the star-studded line-up for this Pudsey Does Bhangra appeal show.

Joanne says: "I am delighted to be presenting this amazing event. Although it has been going for over 30 years it is my first experience of Children in Need.

"I am really excited about being involved and making lots of music and a load of noise at Millennium Point."

She adds: "I need more practice at my dohl drumming but I am up for whatever the evening may throw at me."

Spectators can try their hand at dohl drumming, take part in a Bollywood dance workshop and have their photos taken in the Asian Network Bollywood photo booth, in return for a donation to Children in Need.

The event will broadcast live at various times during the ±«Óãtv One networked show presented by Sir Terry Wogan.

Following last year's fund-raising, thanks to the amazing generosity of the West Midlands public, ±«Óãtv Children in Need is distributing £1,224,697 in awards to projects in the West Midlands which will make a direct impact on the lives of disadvantaged and young people.

Event information

The event is free. It runs from 6.00 to 11.00pm on Friday 20 November.

Venue: Millennium Point, Curzon Street, Birmingham, B4 7XG.

Transport: Moor Street station (10 minutes' walk); Birmingham New Street (15 minutes' walk). Pedestrian signs direct people on foot. There are bus stops outside the building and several more in the vicinity. Motorists driving into Birmingham should follow the brown tourism road signs to Millennium Point. There is ample car parking on site for a charge of £1 for the whole evening.

Disabled access: this is a modern building and has disabled parking spaces, full access to the event area for wheelchair users, and disabled toilets.

Health and safety information for the audience: refreshments are available to purchase at the venue. Please note there will be loud music. This is a standing event with limited seating.
