Another soap sibling joins cast of Doctors

±«Óãtv One's award-winning daytime soap Doctors, not content with casting one soap sibling in the shape of Grace Kelly, has cast Adam Thomas to appear in the programme.

Adam's elder brother Ryan Thomas shares the TV screen with Grace's sister Katherine!

The actor (who plays Donte Charles in ±«Óãtv One's Waterloo Road) arrives on the Doctors set this week for two days, when he will be filming for Episode 35, Hamilton Is Out, to be aired on Tuesday 26 May 2009.

In the episode, Adam plays Ben Hamilton, a detached outsider who has spent much of his life in institutions after murdering a fellow classmate when he was a boy.

He's undergone years of analysis, but his psychology remains a mystery. Now a free man, Ben wants to move on with his life and re-connect with his mother Sally.

But a hardened Sally, as well as his community, wants nothing to do with Ben and it's up to receptionist Karen (Jan Pearson), sympathetic to this seemingly sad and gentle man's plight, to support him. But has Ben really changed or is Karen just naive to his charms?

Series Producer, Mike Hobson, says: "I'm delighted that we had the opportunity to cast Adam in the role of Ben; he's a wonderful young actor and he undoubtedly has a great future ahead of him. Ben is a rather complicated, intense character and I'm certain Adam will more than rise to the challenge of portraying him. It's an episode not to be missed."

The multi-award winning Doctors airs weekdays at 1.45pm on ±«Óãtv One and also at 6.00pm on ±«Óãtv HD.
