Scientists have released the most detailed pictures ever taken of Mars' moon, Deimos.

The images were snapped by the UAE Space Agency's Hope Probe during recent flybys of the moon.

The spacecraft flew around 60 miles from Deimos, during which it was able to record the images and send them back to Earth.

It also captured pictures which show a rare glimpse into the far side of the moon, which have not previously been closely investigated.

Amphibians are the most threatened group of vertebrates on the planet

Rare giant Mexican leaf frogs have been successfully bred at a wildlife park in the UK - something that's only thought to have happened once before.

Keepers at the Cotswold Wildlife Park had to recreate the extreme weather conditions of the frogs' natural environment in the dry forests of Mexico, which are quite different to south-west England!

But their dedication paid off and it's the first time the rare amphibians have been bred at the park.

Its curator Jamie Craig says the metamorphosing stages - where an amphibian changes into its adult form from a tadpole "can be very tricky and we are delighted to have had success with out Mexican leaf frogs".

It is estimated that more than 150,000 people in the UK use British Sign Language

Deaf Awareness Week is taking place from 1 to 7 May 2023. It's a week dedicated to helping children and young people celebrate deaf identity and feel confident with their deafness.

There are more than 50,000 young people who are deaf or have hearing problems in the UK today, according to the National Deaf Children's Society.

Deafness is another way to describe hearing loss. Hearing loss is very common; many people experience hearing loss as they get older.

In fact, did you know that there are some very high-pitched sounds that your parents or grandparents can't hear but that you can?

As with lots of disabilities, hearing loss can be mild to severe.

New words and terms of the day:

A moon - Earth has a moon, and other planets have their own too - some have more than one. A moon is an astronomical body that orbits a planet, dwarf planet, or small Solar System body.

Amphibian - small animals that need water, or a moist environment, to survive. The species include frogs, toads, salamanders, and newts.

Hearing aid - These are small devices that you wear in or around your ear that makes external sounds louder for the wearer.
