The wait is finally over as The Great British Bake Off returned to our TV screens on Tuesday night.

welcomed 12 fresh faces to the famous white tent - all of whom are aiming to be crowned Britain's best amateur baker.

The hit show has , and changes to the show - including - have got fans wondering if the new series will be just as tasty as previous years.

So we wanted to know what you thought of it.

I think the older series was better because it was more exciting.

I prefer the old series as it had Mel and Sue, and they made it more exciting. The new presenters don't have as much flair and enthusiasm as the previous presenters.

I really enjoyed the new GBBO. Noel was great and very funny, but also kind to the contestants. I just loved his shirt! The standard of the showstoppers was very high. I will be watching from now on.
