This is a stunning location for nature watching with dramatic scenery, tranquil coastlines, and unspoilt habitats.

Essential kit:Binoculars, walking boots, warm clothing. Avoid wearing bright clothing - use your own camouflage.
Nature watching:Eagles, Otters, Pine Martens and Red Deer. Geology - the fault at Inninmore. Ruins of Ardtornish Castle, once the seat of the Lords of the Isles.

Whale watching and Sea Eagles - take the ferry from Lochaline to the Isle of Mull.
Access:Variable depending on terrain.
Best times: Early February is the best time to watch them on the Morvern Peninsula when it's very quiet with few visitors and minimum disturbance to these shy creatures.

Charges:Charge for ferries and specific activities.
