An free introduction to our Total Immersion day, exploring the life and music of French-American composer Edgard Var猫se, including screenings of specially recorded 鲍鱼tv Symphony Orchestra films of 脡tude pour Espace and Ecuatorial.

Edgard Var猫se, even a half century after his death, remains a controversial yet cult figure. His unique voice and rigorous, though eclectic aesthetic, influenced countless younger composers even though his entire output can be performed in about three hours. So this Total Immersion is truly total - embracing every note he composed.

This event is preceded by a reconstruction of Var猫se鈥檚 piece for tape Po猫me 茅lectronique, in the Barbican Foyers at 11am.
