About this event

The 2013 Proms begins with a surge of natural energy in sea-inspired works by Britten and Vaughan Williams (the latter combining the 300-strong Proms Youth Choir and the ±«Óătv Symphony Chorus). A world premiere from Julian Anderson and two sets of Paganini variations by Rachmaninov and featured composer LutosƂawski add pianistic stardust.
