The Bombay Royale are a Bollywood-flavoured 11 piece surf-rock band from Melbourne, Australia dedicated to honouring and reviving the funky and mysterious music of vintage Indian cinema.
Fronted by singers Parvyn Kaur Singh and Shourov Battacharya, they perform their music in Hindi and Bengali. Their debut album You Me Bullets Love features eight originals and two fascinating re-workings of long-forgotten Bollywood production numbers. Released in May 2012, it’s since gone on to receive wide acclaim.
