Virtuoso percussionists O Duo join the ±«Óãtv Singers to explore the impact of the human voice when harnessed with percussion instruments of many kinds.
Bob Chilcott’s The Miracle of Spirit explores water while Veljo Tormis’s blood-curdling incantation is a curse upon the metal from which war and destruction are fashioned. Cecilia McDowell’s brand-new piece celebrates the joy of music itself. It receives its first performance alongside Vaughan Williams’ classic choral Shakespeare settings from 1951.
