Your trust is very important to us. The ±«Óãtv is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal information. It is important that you read this notice so that you are aware of how and why we are using such information. This privacy notice describes how we collect and use personal information about you that you have provided in accordance with data protection law.
The ±«Óãtv will collect your personal information for the purpose of contacting you about Creative Diversity events and/or to update you on our work. The personal information is your name and your email address.
Who is the Data Controller?
The ±«Óãtv will hold your personal data securely in a database and is the ‘data controller’ of your personal information. This means that the ±«Óãtv decides what your information is used for, and the ways in which it is processed.
Lawful basis for processing your personal information
The ±«Óãtv will rely on your consent to collect and use your personal information and you are asked to tick the consent box before sharing your information and registering to receive communications from the ±«Óãtv.
You may withdraw or change your consent at any time by contacting us at creativediversity@bbc.co.uk.
Sharing your information
The ±«Óãtv may share personal information of individuals who have consented to receive communications regarding the ±«Óãtv’s Creative Diversity events, with third parties who are involved with the running of the event. The ±«Óãtv will not be sharing your personal information with Google.
Retaining your information
The ±«Óãtv will retain your information for three years. It will then be reviewed to check accuracy and whether you still wish to remain on the database.

If you have any questions about how the ±«Óãtv handles your personal information, or if you wish to contact the ±«Óãtv to exercise your rights of access to, and/or rectify, erase, object to or restrict processing of your personal data, please contact us at creativediversity@bbc.co.uk
