Some viewers were unhappy local English news programmes were affected by strike action on 20Â and 21Â July.
Our response
We’re sorry that audiences experienced some changes to local TV services in England as a result of industrial action by the National Union of Journalists on 20 and 21 July. We tried to minimise disruption as much as possible.
A ±«Óătv Spokesperson has said “We have a plan to modernise local services across England - including more news journalists and a stronger local online service – which will see no overall reduction in editorial staffing levels or local funding. Our goal is a local service across TV, radio and online that delivers even greater value to communities.”
