On 23 January the Office of the Commissioner for Public Appointments announced that there would be a review of the competition for the ±«Óãtv Chair appointment to ensure it was conducted in line with the Governance Code for Public Appointments.
In recognition that the ±«Óãtv’s relationship with audiences is rooted in trust, the ±«Óãtv Nominations Committee will also ensure that all the appropriate guidelines regarding conflicts of interest have been followed within the ±«Óãtv since Richard Sharp joined as Chairman. The Committee will be chaired by the ±«Óãtv Board’s Senior Independent Director, Sir Nicholas Serota, and the Committee’s conclusions will be published.
